“Opera intrigues me the same way as puppetry does — its exacting standards, narrative form and specificity draw me in into its world, like a puzzle that is waiting to be unraveled to reveal its inner composition and beauty. My work with The Finger Players has led me to dabble in a range of diverse art forms, from traditional puppetry to contemporary multi-disciplinary practice, musical theatre and most recently noh theatre. I would like to thank Juliana and Ronald for inviting me to embark on this journey with them. I have no doubt that it will be an enriching and mind blowing experience for all involved. It’s no doubt a challenging task, but if my track record were to serve as any indication, you would see that I wouldn’t want it any other way.”
