The Australian young dramatic soprano Kathleen Parker completed her Bachelor of Music at the University of Queensland and graduated from the Australian Opera Studio in Perth, Western Australia with Honors and the Dux Prize in 2008.

In 2009, Kathleen won the Opera Foundation of Australia Audi German Australia Opera Competition and joined the ensemble at Opera Cologne for the 2009/2010 season. She was then invited back to Opera Cologne as a guest in several roles during the following season. Since 2011, Kathleen has also performed at the Deutsche Oper Berlin, Theater Nordhausen and Hessisches Staatstheater Wiesbaden, as well as in concerts and recitals throughout Germany.

Kathleen was the recipient of the Ethel Osborn Prize in Voice and the South Queensland Performing Arts Challenge in 2009. She was a finalist in the 2011 Concours International de Chant in Marmande and the 2011 Concours de Geneve. Most recently, Kathleen won the Wolfgang Wagner Prize and the Audience Prize in the 8th International Singing Competition for Wagner Voices in Karlsruhe in late 2015.

Roles performed include: Senta (Der Fliegende Holländer), Woglinde (Das Rheingold), Agathe (Der Freischütz), Vitellia (La Clemenza di Tito), Elettra (Idomeneo), Blumenmädchen 2 II (Parsifal), Governess (Turn of the Screw), Ellen Orford (Peter Grimes), elle (La Voix Humaine), Fünfte Magd (Elektra), Micaela (Carmen), and Arminda (La Finta Giardiniera).
